This is a new position within a mechanical engineering dept. This job will include lots of GUI development for engineering applications (VB.NET winforms and asp.net) in addition to backend work, including database architecture, basic DBA type stuff and ETL with both SQL Server 2008 and Access. Because it's a small team, you would be doing a little bit of everything. This includes developing GUI classes and methods to perform existing functionality; developing I/O calls in MS Excel, PDF, and XML.

Designing and developing wrapper classes in VB.NET to interact with 3rd party engineering applications.

 

Ideal candidate will have exposure to variety of technologies like Java, C++, web services, Linux, etc. We are looking for someone that is mid level, 5-10 total years of experience, BS degree required.   Benefits include tuition reimbursement, bonus, 401K with match, medical/dental.   Location is central to North and Southtowns.  Salary is up to 85K plus Bonus.
